Now hiring: we are hiring a counter butcher in Edgar County, Illinois. You will work at a busy retail butcher's shop. Your main tasks: • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Season and marinate meat on request What we are looking for: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required Six days a week, one day off.
