Great opportunity: we are hiring a port container crane operator in Kent County, Delaware. You will work at a precast concrete yard. The role involves follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL); help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone; set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground. Requirements: • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • A good head for heights for tower crane work • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging 3+ years on the tools preferred.
