Sheet metal welder • Patani, Delta State

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Patani, Delta State. The job is in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. Day-to-day duties: • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal What we are looking for: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
