Great opportunity: we are hiring a JCB operator in Black Hawk County, Iowa. You will be based on a pipeline and trenching crew. On the job you will handle: • Excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs • Swap buckets and attachments — rock breaker, grab, ripper, auger • Work to laser, GPS or 2D/3D machine-control guidance • Dig foundation trenches and footings to the marked depths and levels • Carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels • Inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up You should have: • Reliable, punctual and able to get to site • Sound understanding of daily maintenance and greasing • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
