Canteen cook — Ashland County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a canteen cook in Ashland County, Ohio. Day-to-day duties: • Prepare the mise en place before each service • Keep the station clean and sanitised throughout the shift • Check fryer oil and change it when it breaks down • Prepare stocks, sauces and soups from scratch • Follow standardised recipes and stick to portion sizes Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' experience as a cook in a busy kitchen • Able to lift heavy stock pots and sacks of supplies • Able to stand for long shifts and work in heat 4+ years on the tools preferred.
