Vacancy available: we are hiring a brick mason in Barpeta, Assam. The job is on a commercial construction site. The role involves installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder. We are looking for proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks; own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools; physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day. Rotating shifts.
