Now hiring: we are hiring a groundsman in Sherman County, Texas. You will be based on the grounds of a hotel resort. Requirements: • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance On the job you will handle: • Rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste • Weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe • Apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds • Dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds • Lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers Rotating shifts.
