Commis chef • Schenectady County, New York

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a commis chef in Schenectady County, New York. You will be based in a hotel kitchen. Day-to-day duties: • Check deliveries and rotate stock using FIFO • Chop, dice and portion vegetables, fish and meat • Plate and garnish dishes for a quick pass to service • Keep the station clean and sanitised throughout the shift • Follow standardised recipes and stick to portion sizes • Taste and adjust seasoning for consistency You should have: • Strong knife skills and speed on the line • Able to stand for long shifts and work in heat At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
