Now hiring: canteen cook (Texas)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a canteen cook in Hall County, Texas. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' experience as a cook in a busy kitchen • Food hygiene / FoSTaC certificate • Able to lift heavy stock pots and sacks of supplies You will follow cleaning schedules and wash down work surfaces; manage the tandoor and skewer kebabs; prepare the mise en place before each service; marinate meats and prepare curries, gravies and bases; monitor food temperatures and run regular HACCP checks; check fryer oil and change it when it breaks down. Part-time with flexible hours. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
