Horticulturist wanted in Pope County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a horticulturist in Pope County, Illinois. You will work on the grounds of a hotel resort. On a typical shift you will dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds; rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste; water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines; prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
