Vertical milling machine operator • Bennington County, Vermont

Join our team: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Bennington County, Vermont. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. Requirements: • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery • Willing to work rotating shifts and night shift • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T On a typical shift you will set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance; hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm; set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
