The role involves: • Present documents at weighbridges and check posts • Secure loads with ratchet straps, chains and load bars • Plan routes and rest stops in line with driving-hours rules • Carry out daily walk-around vehicle checks before setting off • Report defects and book the unit in for servicing • Check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits Ideal candidate: • Good knowledge of driving-hours and tachograph rules • Physically fit for long hours behind the wheel • Confident with manual handling and load securing Part-time with flexible hours.
