Blocklayer • Mikang, Plateau State

Vacancy available: we are hiring a blocklayer in Mikang, Plateau State. You will be based at a residential building site. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day The role involves building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge. 1+ years on the tools preferred.
