Immediate opening: butcher (Illinois)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a butcher in Washington County, Illinois. You will work at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. Day to day you will monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; season and marinate meat on request; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder; weigh, price and label cuts for the display case. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter Six days a week, one day off.
