Urgent requirement: gantry crane operator (Illinois)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Hancock County, Illinois. You will work at a shipbuilding yard. On the job you will handle: • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger Requirements: • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Strong attention to safety and load limits On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
