Your main tasks: • Explain the day's specials and recommend dishes • Polish glasses, cutlery and crockery during mise en place • Pour water, wine and soft drinks and serve from the guest's left • Upsell starters, desserts and beverages • Coordinate order timing with the kitchen and the bar • Lay table covers with cutlery, napkins, glassware and crockery You should have: • Clear spoken communication and a polite, friendly manner • Basic numeracy for handling cash, bills and change Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
