Great opportunity: we are hiring a counter butcher in Wayne County, West Virginia. What we are looking for: • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers You will dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; season and marinate meat on request; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone. At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. $3,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
