Immediate opening: we are hiring a butcher in Dekina, Kogi State. You will work in a hotel or restaurant butchery. Day-to-day duties: • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders Requirements: • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
