Immediate opening: we are hiring a tower crane operator in Orange County, New York. You will work on a busy construction site. Your main tasks: • Read and interpret the load chart before every lift • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius Requirements: • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes • A good head for heights for tower crane work Full-time, day shift.
