Join our team: we are hiring an overhead (EOT) crane operator in Menard County, Illinois. The job is at a container port and shipping yard. Day to day you will rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control; keep a safe distance from overhead power lines; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone. You should have: • Strong attention to safety and load limits • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • A good head for heights for tower crane work Six days a week, one day off.
