Immediate opening: we are hiring a cnc lathe setter in Kent County, Rhode Island. You will be based at a busy machine shop. On a typical shift you will measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers; check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet; watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes; change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear. You should have: • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges $2,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
