Immediate opening: we are hiring a metal caster in Baker County, Oregon. You will be based at an aluminium die-casting plant. Requirements: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings The role involves make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture. Part-time with flexible hours. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $4,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
