Immediate opening: we are hiring a shuttering charge hand in Ushongo, Benue State. The job is on a metro and tunnel project. Day to day you will apply mould-release oil to the plywood faces before concreting; fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure; seal panel joints and hold the correct concrete cover to prevent grout loss; check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line; cut and assemble plywood and timber panels for columns, beams and slabs; strike and strip the formwork once the concrete has cured. You should have: • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing • Skilled with circular saw, hand tools and spirit level • Able to read formwork and structural drawings 3+ years on the tools preferred.
