Now hiring: we are hiring a counter butcher in Ajingi, Kano State. The job is in a supermarket meat department. On a typical shift you will monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter Six days a week, one day off.
