Crane operator • Aiyedire, Osun State

Great opportunity: we are hiring a crane operator in Aiyedire, Osun State. You will be based in a steel fabrication workshop. Requirements: • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Understanding of hand and radio signals Your main tasks: • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins • Read and interpret the load chart before every lift Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
