Confectioner — Douglas County

Join our team: we are hiring a confectioner in Douglas County, Illinois. You will be based at a cake shop. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving • Able to work early-morning and night shifts You will pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls; roll out short-crust and biscuit dough; score the top of loaves before baking; knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer. 1+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
