Immediate opening: we are hiring a horticulturist in Chaves County, New Mexico. You will work in a botanical garden. Your main tasks: • Rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste • Sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades • Apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds • Cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs • Weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe • Maintain compost heaps and the potting shed You should have: • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage • Happy to work outdoors in all weather • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
