You will measure rope tension and check for broken strands; carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes; service the traction motor, brake and gearbox; mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators; respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers. You should have: • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate.
