Estate gardener — Midlothian

Join our team: we are hiring an estate gardener in Midlothian, Scotland. You will work in a botanical garden. The role involves: • Water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines • Cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs • Maintain compost heaps and the potting shed • Dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds • Check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads Ideal candidate: • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
