Now hiring: we are hiring a cnc lathe setter in Stanton County, Kansas. The job is at an auto-components manufacturing unit. Day to day you will run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles; adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish; check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet; top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed; set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets. Requirements: • Working knowledge of G-code and M-code • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges • Comfortable standing for long shifts and lifting up to 20 kg 6+ years on the tools preferred.
