Machine operator (earthworks) • Ukwa West, Abia State

Great opportunity: we are hiring a machine operator (earthworks) in Ukwa West, Abia State. You will work at a drainage and utilities contractor. Your main tasks: • Keep the cab clean and oil-free and report defects promptly • Dig foundation trenches and footings to the marked depths and levels • Inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up • Strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse • Track the machine on and off low-loaders for transport • Lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains You should have: • Good awareness of underground services and exclusion zones • Confident working to fine grade and tight tolerances • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
