Urgent requirement: we are hiring a pastry baker in Kinney County, Texas. You will be based at a cake shop. The role involves laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter; check finished products for colour, crumb and weight; rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials; weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe; decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream. What we are looking for: • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • Food handler / hygiene certificate 6+ years on the tools preferred. $4,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
