Heavy equipment operator • Marion County, Indiana

Join our team: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in Marion County, Indiana. You will be based at a drainage and utilities contractor. Day-to-day duties: • Strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse • Lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains • Work safely around buried services with a banksman or spotter • Swap buckets and attachments — rock breaker, grab, ripper, auger • Clear sites, demolish structures and load out muck and rubble • Backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers You should have: • Able to read drawings, setting-out pegs and level pegs • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control • Confident working to fine grade and tight tolerances 4+ years on the tools preferred.
