Vacancy available: we are hiring a confectioner in Harper County, Kansas. Ideal candidate: • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen You will monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch; shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand; decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream; score the top of loaves before baking; rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $260 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
