Requirements: • Skilled with silicone guns, putty and glazing tools • Knowledge of toughened, laminated and double-glazed units Day-to-day duties: • Grind and polish cut edges to take off the sharp arris • Measure window and door openings and order glass to size • Seal joints with a silicone gun and tool off a neat bead • Clean the finished glass and peel off the protective film • Cut glass to size using a glass cutter and running pliers • Apply putty, silicone and glazing tape to bed the glass Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
