Great opportunity: blocklayer (Illinois)

Join our team: we are hiring a blocklayer in Williamson County, Illinois. Your main tasks: • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go What we are looking for: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
