Heavy equipment operator (dozer) wanted in Chittenden County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator (dozer) in Chittenden County, Vermont. You will be based on a road construction project. Day-to-day duties: • Carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil • Push-load motor scrapers during bulk earthmoving • Operate crawler dozers to push and spread fill across the site • Backfill trenches and foundations once services are laid • Form embankments and batter slopes to the required angle • Grade and level subgrade for roads, pads and platforms Ideal candidate: • Proven experience operating crawler dozers (D6 to D8 class) • Good understanding of cut-and-fill and batter slopes • Able to read grade stakes, drawings and site levels Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
