Shuttering carpenter — Ideato North

Great opportunity: we are hiring a shuttering carpenter in Ideato North, Imo State. The job is at an infrastructure construction site. Ideal candidate: • Hands-on with timber, plywood and system formwork • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long shifts On the job you will handle: • Fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure • Apply mould-release oil to the plywood faces before concreting • Watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement • Fix stop ends and kickers at the construction joints • Brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour • Box out openings for doors, windows and service penetrations Full-time with occasional weekends.
