Now hiring: we are hiring a skimming plasterer in Sumter County, Georgia. You will work at a plastering and dry lining contractor. You should have: • Physically fit for lifting bags of plaster and mixing all day • Able to mix plaster to the right consistency by feel • Proven experience hand-skimming and floating to a flat finish Day-to-day duties: • Fix and set angle beads, stop beads and corner beads • Dub out hollows and uneven areas before skimming • Tape and joint plasterboard seams with scrim and filler • Patch and repair cracked, blown or hollow plaster • Float and rule off walls to a flat surface with a straightedge Full-time with occasional weekends.
