Steel erection rigger — Tofa

Now hiring: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Tofa, Kano State. The job is at a power plant. What we are looking for: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams Your main tasks: • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads 4+ years on the tools preferred. Meals and transport allowance provided. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
