Great opportunity: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Delaware County, Oklahoma. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers Day-to-day duties: • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking 5+ years on the tools preferred. $3,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
