Immediate opening: we are hiring a meat trimmer in Pierce County, Washington. You will work in a meat processing plant. Requirements: • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter Day-to-day duties: • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Season and marinate meat on request We offer $20 per hour plus benefits. Meals and transport allowance provided. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
