Meat cutter — Fife

Immediate opening: we are hiring a meat cutter in Fife, Scotland. You will be based at a busy retail butcher's shop. You should have: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths The role involves: • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
