Immediate opening: carpenter (Kano State)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a carpenter in Shanono, Kano State. You will work at a kitchen and furniture manufacturer. The role involves finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain; fix studwork and plasterboard partitions; cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw; hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles; apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board; cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet. Requirements: • Good eye for detail and a clean finish • NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent • CSCS card for site-based work an advantage Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. ₦650 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
