Now hiring: we are hiring a bricklayer in Satna, Madhya Pradesh. You will work at a residential building site. The role involves: • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge Ideally you have sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish); able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks.
