Canteen cook — Deschutes County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a canteen cook in Deschutes County, Oregon. You will work in a catering banquet kitchen. The role involves knead dough and bake breads such as roti, naan and paratha; manage the tandoor and skewer kebabs; marinate meats and prepare curries, gravies and bases; prepare the mise en place before each service; chop, dice and portion vegetables, fish and meat. You should have: • 2+ years' experience as a cook in a busy kitchen • Strong knife skills and speed on the line • Good teamwork and clear communication under pressure Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
