We are recruiting: we are hiring a counter butcher in Itasca County, Minnesota. The job is in a supermarket meat department. What we are looking for: • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers Your main tasks: • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Season and marinate meat on request • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights Six days a week, one day off.
