Great opportunity: we are hiring a halal butcher in Sumter County, Florida. You will work in a hotel or restaurant butchery. You should have: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required You will break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; season and marinate meat on request; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. We offer $200 per day plus benefits.
