Now hiring: brick mason (Sokoto State)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a brick mason in Gada, Sokoto State. You will work on a commercial construction site. Day to day you will mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod. Requirements: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets Overtime paid at a premium rate.
