Now hiring: we are hiring a bakery assistant in Coke County, Texas. You will work at an in-store supermarket bakery. Ideal candidate: • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens • 2+ years' experience as a baker • Food handler / hygiene certificate The role involves: • Monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch • Rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials • Keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards • Shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand • Grease and clean baking trays, tins and moulds • Proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
